Welcome to the Whiteside's School of Dance...
Whiteside’s School of Dance is an ISTD dance school based in Smallfield, near Horley in Surrey, offering dance classes to children and young people from all over Surrey and Sussex, including Horley, Crawley, Charlwood, Copthorne, Redhill, & the surrounding area.
Whiteside’s School of Dance is one of the busiest dance schools in the Horley area; we specifically provide dance classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Tap, Street and Contemporary/lyrical dance. We have had a successful past and some former pupils are now dancing professionally, some are teaching dance themselves.
In 2017 we were very excited to establish Konnect & Konnect Minis, our two elite street competition teams. Konnect & Konnect Minis are performing throughout the year at different competitions in the UK and in he summer, dancing at local events. Look out for them!
At Whiteside’s School of Dance, we have been providing expert tuition to students since 1997, (although the school was founded in 1988) allowing pupils to successfully gain their ISTD graded examinations – we have a 100% exam pass record of which we are very proud.
Of course, dancing is not just about exams, we like to have fun too! As a dance school we involve ourselves with as many performance opportunities as possible, including some wonderful events that see us performing on the West End stage at Young Performers, the Strictly Come Dancing UK Tour, local dance shows such as ‘Chance To Dance’, local events/fairs, carnivals and competitions, not to mention our own superb high quality WSOD Show, staged bi-annually at a local theatre.
With lots of upcoming events always in the pipeline, keep an eye on our Facebook Page & News Feed for details.
Our head girl is Georgia Rushby. She can always be contacted through the WSOD facebook page for a student’s perspective of what it’s like to be at Whiteside’s!
